Emergency Response Guide
Learn what to do in an emergency or crisis situation by downloading the Emergency Response Guide below, or find it under the Campus Security tab on your MyNWC portal.
Note: the Evacuation Guide can be found on pages 11-12. Be sure to familiarize yourself with your building's evacuation location ASAP, so you know where to go should you hear the alarm bells go off.
Fire Drills
Expect to be involved in fire drills at Northwest College. They’ll come when it’s snowing, in the middle of the night, whenever you least expect, but sometimes they’ll also get you out of class and into the sunshine on nice, warm days.
- Become familiar with evacuation procedures for your hall and for every building you have classes in.
- During drills, once you’ve exited the building, look for your building captain wearing an orange vest and proceed immediately to the evacuation assembly area so you can be accounted for and assist with status assessment of others.
- If you have questions, visit with your instructors or hall director. Or contact Campus Security.
